Summary: Bones, Hogkins, Angela, Zach, and Cam are in Plainsboro, New Jersey, for a conference of forensic scientists. Things begin to heat up when Bones gets a call for assisstance from the Plainsboro coroner, Abigail Wilkins.

Chapter One: The request
"Zach, are you sure you still want to assisst me with my lecture?" Brennan asked.
"Of course, Doctor Brennan," replied Zach.
Brennan was about to reply when there was knock on the door.
"Come in," Brennan called, adding, "It's unlocked."
To her surprise, a youngish woman with red hair and grey-green eyes entered the room.
"Abigail? Is it really you?" Zach asked, surprised to see his former high school classmate.
"Hi, Zach," replied Abigail.
"Doctor Brennan, this is Abigail Wilkins. Abigail, this is my boss, Doctor Temperance Brennan."
"How are you?" Brennan asked Abigail as the two women shook hands.
"Excellent, and you?"
"A little bit nervous," Brennan admitted.
"Giving the guest speech today?"
Brennan nodded.
"I'm giving tomorrow's guest speech," Abigail admitted.
"Really? What is it that you do?" Brennan asked, sincerely interested. This Abigail Wilkins intrigued her.
"I'm the Plainsboro coroner."
"And why are you giving a speech tomorrow?"
"I'm presenting my research on the effects of chronic vs. infectious diseases on the human body with the intent of improving current autopsy techniques," replied Abigail.
"I thought Tempe Crusher was researching that," Brennan remarked.
"She was--at least until she was diagnosised with adenocarcinoma," explained Abigail, "but that's not why I'm here."
"Why are you here then?" Zach asked.
"I have a body in my morgue and I was hoping you would be willing to take a look at it, Doctor Brennan."
"When can I look?" Brennan asked, her curiousity piqued by Abigail's request.
"Now, if you like."
"Let's grab Hogkins and Angela on our way down," replied Brennan.
